Job Description

This company is in search of an exceptional Staff Accountant to assist in ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing which includes but is not limited to general ledgers, financial records, reports, and reconciliations. This could also involve developing schedules and analytics as needed.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording monthly journal entries and preparing draft financial reports. The business operates at a fast pace, requiring work to be completed accurately and promptly. Agility is essential due to the transactional nature of the business.

Responsibilities

* Record journal entries
* Allocate insurance to entities
* Amortize and reconcile prepaid assets
* Accrue professional fees, bank charges, etc.
* Prepare financial reports for all locations, analyzing YoY variances exceeding pre-defined materiality thresholds and understanding material variances to budget.
* Identify unusual trends in income or expense in the "trailing" reports.
* Update financial models with assumptions provided by management for annual budgets.
