Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President of Accounting, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and overseeing core accounting functions. This position demands a meticulous professional with excellent analytical abilities who thrives both independently and in team settings.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

* Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
* Analyze financial data to create insightful management reports.
* Maintain complete and accurate financial records.
* Oversee fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation management.

General Ledger Management

* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger entries.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address discrepancies promptly.
* Adhere to the monthly close schedule as outlined by the Controller.

Financial Analysis

* Assist in preparing variance analyses and financial forecasts for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
* Monitor and report on material variances, providing actionable insights to management.

Audit and Compliance

* Facilitate external audit processes by preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, including supporting tax reporting requirements.

Collaboration and Leadership

* Mentor and provide training to junior accounting staff.
* Work with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and reporting.

System Optimization and Process Improvement

* Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining accounting processes.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of NetSuite and related tools.

Qualifications and Core Competencies

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
* Experience:

* Previous accounting experience
* Audit or assurance experience preferred.
* CPA certification highly desirable.

* Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in NetSuite or similar platforms
* Experience with Microsoft systems and banking portals
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) and Lease Accounting (ASC 842).

* Soft Skills:

* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
* Effective relationship-building, training, and facilitation skills.
* Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when managing confidential information.

* Analytical and Project Management Skills:

* Advanced problem-solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize effectively.
* Proven experience leading complex accounting projects across multiple locations.
