Senior SEC Reporting Technical Accountant - New York, NY - $115,000
My client is a global leader in digital media enhancement and content recommendation using AI and machine learning to provide innovative solutions to their customers. The position offer the opportunity to grow with a company that has continually increased in size year over year.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A sections for SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
* Conduct research on complex technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and preparing the necessary documentation.
* Manage lease accounting under ASC 842
* Assist in maintaining and documenting SOX controls
* Enforce and update global accounting policies across subsidiaries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
* Work cross functionally with teams like FP&A, Legal, and R&D
* Respond to finance-related inquiries from stakeholders and take on special projects or tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
* Prior accounting experience .
* Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
* Experience with NetSuite
* Previous experience working with US GAAP for multi-national public companies is preferred.
* Ability to perform technical accounting research and address complex accounting matters with robust documentation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
* Operational experience in applying complex technical accounting in practical situations is a plus.
* Experience in the technology or digital advertising sectors is beneficial.
