Job Description
My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team in Nassau County, Long Island. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the distribution industry and possess strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work flexibility with the need for in-office presence as required.
Role & Responsibilities
* Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and operational efficiency. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and the executive management team.
* Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations.
* Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
* Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial performance. Oversee cost management initiatives and productivity improvements.
* Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing activities to ensure the company's financial stability and liquidity.
* Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and accounting principles.
* Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and execution skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems specifically NetSuite ERP.
* Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Progressive experience in finance, with experience in a senior financial leadership role within the distribution industry.
