Senior Accountant
A well-established healthcare services organization with over 35 years of success is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This company is a recognized leader in delivering both medical and non-medical home health care services across multiple states, focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing essential financial functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting operations through reporting, analysis, and ERP system optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, proficiency with NetSuite ERP, and experience with GAAP and SOX compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate revenue recognition and adherence to GAAP.
* Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
* Prepare and present financial statements, such as P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Perform variance and flux analysis to identify and explain financial trends and discrepancies.
* Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, maintaining appropriate internal controls and documentation.
* Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors.
* Act as an experienced end-user of NetSuite ERP, leveraging the platform for data management and reporting.
* Support ERP optimization efforts to improve workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
* Collaborate with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* 5+ years of accounting experience,
* Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance.
* Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP; ERP implementation or optimization experience is a plus.
